Copyright Ownership
The copyright of all published articles remains with the respective authors without any restrictions.
Journal of Government, Politics, and Policy Studies (JGPPS) applies the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). This license allows anyone to copy, distribute, adapt, and share the article as long as:
- Attribution (BY): Users must give appropriate credit to the author and the journal by citing the author's name, article title, journal name, year of publication, volume, issue, and DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
- Non-Commercial Use (NC): The content may only be used for non-commercial purposes. Users are not allowed to profit financially from the work.
- ShareAlike (SA): If users adapt or modify the article, the new version must be licensed under the same terms (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
With this license, authors retain full copyright ownership of their work, while others may use the content within the specified limitations.
Author Warranties
By submitting an article for publication in JGPPS, the authors warrant that:
- The submitted article is the original work of the stated authors.
- The article has not been published elsewhere.
- The article does not contain any unlawful statements or infringe upon the rights of others.
- The copyright is fully owned by the authors without claims from third parties.
- Any necessary written permissions for quoting from other sources have been obtained.
User and Public Rights
As an open-access journal, JGPPS is committed to providing free access to its published articles. Under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license, users are allowed to:
- Copy and distribute articles in various media or formats.
- Adapt, modify, or develop the article while providing proper attribution.
- Use articles for academic and non-commercial purposes.
However, users are not allowed to use articles for commercial purposes and must distribute modified versions under the same license.
Author Rights
Authors retain full rights to their published articles, including but not limited to:
- Copyright and other proprietary rights related to the article, such as patent rights.
- The right to use the content of the article in future works, including books and lectures.
- The right to reproduce the article for personal purposes.
- The right to self-archive the article in institutional repositories.
- The right to enter into separate agreements for non-exclusive distribution of the article’s published version (e.g., posting it in a repository or publishing it in a book), with acknowledgment of the initial publication in JGPPS.
Co-Authorship
If an article is jointly authored, the submitting author warrants that all co-authors have agreed to this copyright and license policy. JGPPS will not be held responsible for any internal disputes among authors and will only communicate with the corresponding author.
Royalties
As an open-access journal, JGPPS publishes articles for free and does not provide royalties or financial compensation to authors.
Miscellaneous
JGPPS reserves the right to edit articles for consistency in formatting, spelling, punctuation, and citation style. Once published, articles will be publicly accessible for free under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.
